IC Imaging Control 3.0.4 Released
Posted by Stefan Geißler on February 20, 2007
IC Imaging Control 3.0.4 offers a new interface for the strobe properties of The Imaging Source cameras, whose product code have the characters BF in them (for example, DMK 21BF04 or DMK 41BF02).

IC Imaging Control 3.0.4 now supports three different strobe modes:
- Exposure
The strobe shines as long as the currently set exposure time. - Fixed Duration
The strobe shines as long as is specified in the Duration field (in micro seconds). - Constant
The strobe shines as long as the strobe pulse is set.
It is possible to specify the exact moment at which the strobe pulse is fired - this can be either before or after the cameras exposes. To set this moment, simply adjust the Delay property. Using this feature, it is easy to change the strobe moment to fit that of the external strobe hardware. For example, should the external strobe hardware require 10 micro seconds to fire, then the Delay can be set to -10. The light from the strobe and exposure will then occur at precisely the same point in time.
The new strobe properties are available as of driver version 4.0.0.85. The camera's firmware must be version 3029 or higher. Currently, firmware version 3028 is being shipped. Please feel free to ask me for a firmware update for your BF camera model. You just need to tell me your serial number and I will get the new driver to you as soon as possible.
If you already have IC Imaging Control 3.0 installed, you can upgrade your version by installing the IC Imaging Control 3.0.4 trial version. Select the repair install option in the setup. The download is available in the trial download section of this web site.
