Video-to-FireWire Converter yields Uncompressed Image Streams

In recent months, it has become increasingly easy to purchase low cost PCs, complete with one or more FireWire interfaces, at just about every bargain store.
As it would appear that the public at large seems to have heard of the terms FireWire and IEEE 1394, you have probably been asking yourself whether you should throw away your good old video hardware and upgrade to a system based on FireWire.
However, such an update is costly...
...and, thanks to the DFG/1394-1, not at all necessary.
With the DFG/1394-1 we have developed a converter that lets you plug any video source based upon one of the standards EIA, CCIR, NTSC or PAL directly into a FireWire interface.
The DFG/1394-1 is shipped with the software IC Imaging Control. It comprises:
